Completing Sentences: Completing Sentence- এ কথাটির অর্থ হলো বাক্য সম্পূর্ণকরণ। এর বিভিন্ন প্রকার বাক্যের গঠন প্রণালী ও নিয়ম রয়েছে। তাই Sentence-টির Complete answer এক বা একাধিক হতে পারে।
Rule-1:: Too……To (এতই….যে) বাক্যে থাকলে এটি Negative sense প্রকাশ করে।
Structure: Too+ adj+ to +V₁
Ex. The man is too weak to walk.
She is too dishonest to
speak the truth.
Rule-2::
Too + adj + for + personal object বাক্যে থাকলে –
Structure: Personal obj +to+সংগতিপূর্ণ V₁+….
Ex. The load is too heavy for me
to carry.
Rule-3:
So……That (এত….. যে) বাক্যে থাকলে –
Shortcut: that+sub+ can, could not
সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ V₁
Ex. The villagers are so poor
that they can not buy land.
Rule-4:
So that (যাতে, যেন) বাক্যে থাকলে –
Shortcut: So that + Sub+ can/could +
সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ V₁
Ex. The girl reads attentively so that
she can pass the exam.
Rule-5:: বাক্যে যদি Unless (যদি না) থাকে তাহলে –
Shortcut: Sub + will/can +
সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ
V₁
Ex. Unless you read attentively
you will fail.
Rule-6:
In order that (যাতে,যেন) বাক্যে থাকলে –
Shortcut:
(Sub+ Sub+ can/could +
সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ

Ex. He saved some money in order that
he could buy a car.
Rule-7:
Lest (পাছে ভয় হয় যে) বাক্যে থাকলে –
Shortcut: Sub + should +
সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ

Ex. Read more Lest
you should fail in the exam.
Rule-8:
As long as (যতক্ষন পর্যন্ত) বাক্যে থাকলে –
Shortcut: প্রদত্ত বাক্য + সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ বাক্য
Ex. He worked as long as
he could.
Rule-9:
Though / Although (যদিও) বাক্যে থাকলে –
১ম বাক্য Present = ২য় বাক্য Present
১ম বাক্য past = ২য় বাক্য
Past
Ex. Though he is poor,
he is honest.
Al though she was rich,
she was miser.
Rule-10:
বাক্যে Since, as, because (যেহেতু, কারণ) থাকলে – (Rule- 9-এর মতই গঠন)
Ex. Everybody (preaises him because
he is honest/ good.
Rule-11:: By + Gerund যুক্ত বাক্য হলে–
Shortcut: Sub + can/may +
সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ V₁
Ex. By reading more
you can pass in the exam.
Rule-12:
Without + Gerund যুক্ত বাক্য হলে–
Shortcut: Sub+ can, will +not+ V₁+
বাকি অংশ
Ex. Without trying it
you can not know it.
Rule-13:
As if, as though ( যেন ) যুক্ত বাক্য হলে-
Shortcut: ( Present Indefinite = Past In:
Past In: = Past Perfect
)
Ex. He talks las if he knew everything.
She told the matter as though she had heard it.
Rule 14:
Would rather….. than (বরং) যুক্ত বাক্য হলে-
Shortcut: Would rather +V1+ than +…………
Ex. I would rather die than beg.
Rule-15:
In spite of/Despite (সত্ত্বে ও) বাক্যে থাকলে-
Shortcut: প্রদত্ত বাক্য + প্রদত্ত বাক্যের বিপরীত সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ বাক্য
Ex. In spite of his poverty he is honest.
Despite his good qualification
he did not get a good job.
Rule-16:
In stead of, in lieu of ( পরিবর্তে ) বাক্যে থাকলে এর বিপরীতে অন্য একটি জিনিস বা বস্তু আসবে।
Ex. He ate fish in lieu of meat.
In stead of history
he took English.
Rule-17:
বাক্য টি যদি (Had + Sub+V3) যুক্ত হয় তাহলে–
Shortcut: Sub+ would have + V₂ +…….
Ex. Had I seen him I would have given him the news.
Rule-18:
The place……….. where যুক্ত বাক্য হলে-
Shortcut: where + sub + সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ অংশ
Ex. Mothurapur is the place where I was born.
Rule-19:
It is time to ( কোন কিছুর সঠিক সময় বোঝায় ) বাক্যে থাকলে–
Shortcut: Infinitive + V₁ + সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ অংশ
Ex. It is time to start the work.
It is time for us to
do that thing.
Rule-20:
It is high time ( খুব বেশি জোর দেওয়া বোঝায় ) বাক্যে থাকলে-
পরবর্তি বাক্যে Simple past হবে, তবে Present tense এর অর্থ প্রকাশ করবে।
Ex. It is high time we changed our bad habits.
Rule-21:
Would you mind যুক্ত বাক্য হলে–
Shortcut: প্রদত্ত অংশ
+ (V₁+ing) + বাকি অংশ
Ex. Would you mind opening the door ?
Rule-22:
Would that/ I wish ( অসম্ভব ইচ্ছা, আকাঙ্খা বোঝায় ) বাক্যে থাকলে–
Shortcut: Sub + were + সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ অংশ
Ex. I wish I were a king.
Rule-23:
The time……. when যুক্ত বাক্য হলে–
Shortcut: When + Sub + সঙ্গতিপূর্ন অংশ
Ex. Saturday is the day when the week begins.
Rule- 24:
So much ( পরিমাণ ) so many ( সংখ্যা ) বাক্যে থাকলে–
Shortcut: that + একই sub + সঙ্গতিপূর্ন অংশ
Ex. You have so much intelligence that you can get a good job.
Rule-25:
In case ( যদি ) বাক্যে থাকলে-
Shortcut: উভয় পাশে সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ বাক্য
Ex. I will come tomorrow in case you come.
I waited at the station in case
he came.
Rule-26:
Till /Untill (পর্যন্ত/ যে পর্যন্ত না ) বাক্যে থাকলে-
[
Shortcut: উভয় পাশে সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ অংশ
Ex. Read Till I come back.
They will not go out untill
the rain stops.
Rule-27:
Let alone ( চিন্তা করা যায় না , ভাবা যায় না ) বাক্যে থাকলে–
Shortcut: ১ম অংশের সাথে মিল রেখে ২য় অংশ
Ex. I can not swim a kilometer. Let alone ten kilometers.

Rule-28:
No sooner had…… than বাক্যে থাকলে-
Ex. No sooner had I gone out than he come.
Rule-29:
Who, what, which, that whom, whose) etc. Relative Pronoun থাকলে–
Shortcut: ১ম অংশ দেখে ২য় অংশের Verb + অর্থপূর্ণ অংশ
Ex. I saw the man who was catching fish.
This is the house that
he wants to buy.
Rule-30:
Provided / Provided that/providing that) এগুলো If-এর ন্যাম (যদি) অর্থে ববহৃত হয়।
Ex. The plane will take off in time provided
the weather is good / clear.
